Barbara’s 3-dimensional work is hand-built with stoneware grogged clay, sometimes with paper-fibre additions, these are decorated with terra sigillata slip, burnished and smoke fired or coated with a raku glaze. She also works with her own recipe of paperclay to produce flat wall pieces.
All glaze and slip recipes are Barbara’s own, products of a year’s research into clay and glazes during her time at Goldsmiths and Croydon Colleges.
